A man has sadly died after crashing into a building on High Road in South Woodford this morning.
A Met Police spokesperson said the force was called at around 10.10am to reports of a car colliding with a building, not far from the George Woodford pub.
They added that the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance also attended.

The driver of the car, a man, was however pronounced dead at the scene, at 10.41am.
The spokesperson said work is ongoing to identify and inform the next of kin.
“At this early stage it is believed no other vehicles were involved and enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing,” they added.
A cordon was in place following the incident, with a detour in operation. Both the W12 and W14 have been diverted, and police have advised drivers to avoid the area.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called today (January 7) at 10:05am to reports of a road traffic collision on High Road, South Woodford.
“We sent a number of resources to the scene, including two ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, an incident response officer, and a medic in a fast response car. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance.
“Sadly, despite the efforts of our teams one person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
