A NEW junior football club kicks off in Walthamstow next season with home matches, in the Cheshunt League, taking place at the Douglas Eyre Sports Ground.
Lea Valley U14s - the first ever youth team for the Lea Valley adult football club - has been set up with financial help from the Football Foundation.
The club aims to attract players from the boroughs bordering the River Lea and open trials will be held on Saturday week, June 21, at Springhill Sports Ground, Spring Hill, Clapton, between 12 noon and 3pm.
The adult club was founded two years ago and after a spell in the Asian League will now play next season as members of the Amateur Football Combination.

Trials are also being held during the coming weeks for the Ilford Colts U14s team who will play in the Easter Junior Alliance League next season.
The club's home ground is at Chigwell School but the forthcoming trials will take place at Rolls Park, Highams Park between 6pm and 7.30pm on Thursday, June 12, June 19 and June 26.

Ryan is holding trials this summer for children of all ages to play for one of the club's 24 teams.

Woodford Youth, the largest club in Redbridge, is currently trialling players from U6s to U14s.
The club has once again achieved massive success throughout the age groups this season and is looking to consolidate and improve upon this.

Cowley Boys U15s are looking for good standard players to join their Echo league A division squad.
Players would need to be going into Year Ten in September.
Players for various positions are required including a goalkeeper.
