Detectives have arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with a stabbing on a bus in Walthamstow.
The arrest comes as another 16-year-old is in a critical but stable condition after the stabbing, on a route 158 bus in Blackhorse Lane at about 3.15pm on March 21.
Det Insp Jonathan Potter, of Met’s Road and Transport Policing Command, said the incident happened "on a busy bus filled with schoolchildren" and has shocked the community.

The arrested teen is in custody at an east London police station and the investigation is still ongoing.
Officers have thanked passengers on the bus for coming forward with information and have appealed for more to do so. Drivers along Blackhorse Lane with any dash cam footage are also urged to speak to police.
Witnesses are asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 4388/21Mar. They can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
