A road was closed today after a man was stabbed in a reported clash in an East London street.
Police were called to Cherrydown Avenue, Chingford at 10.55pm after a report of a disturbance between a group of men, some of whom said to be armed with knives.
The stabbed man was taken to a north London hospital, where his condition was deemed not life-threatening.
Waltham Forest Council today tweeted: "Police have closed off part of Cherry Down Avenue, #Chingford, E4 following an incident overnight. Please avoid the area if possible today."
The crime scene has since closed with no arrests yet made, but enquiries continue.
