A fitness fanatic and his two dogs have celebrated reaching a huge milestone in aid of charity.
Aaron Robinson of Latimer Road, Forest Gate, has achieved the incredible goal of running 365 marathons in 365 days for non-profit charity, Hope for Justice.
Hope for Justice is a group that aims to end human trafficking and modern slavery and Aaron's efforts have so far raised more than £21,000.
Most of Aaron's marathons have been run around Wanstead Flats and Wanstead Park, as well as branching out into Leyton Flats and Epping Forest.
Aaron, who works for the charity, said: "As I'm sure you know, a lot of charities are going through a tough time at the minute with a drop of donors and the cost of living.
"I'm passionate about the cause. I think the work they do is fantastic and anything I can do to help them in terms of raising funds is something I will do.
"The whole charity has been really supportive of me."
Aaron ran his 365th marathon on December 17, but said he is aiming to beat the current world record of 607 marathons, saying "it's not the end".
He has run all 365 marathons with his two dogs, Inca and River.
Aaron said: "They do every marathon with me – they love it.
"They’re both Border Collies – they're a working breed. They love it and when we come back I'm tired and they just want to go again.
"It's pretty much a five hour walk for them. They're living their best life."
Aaron has to get up at 3am every morning to fit in his marathon before work.
He said: "Going to work after is tough... also dealing with sickness – throwing up before and during the marathon. I can’t have any days off – you still have to run.
"Even that doesn’t compare to what victims have to go through. It's such an amazing charity.
"Modern slavery and human trafficking doesn’t always get a lot of attention. I really do want to raise awareness of it.
"People can support by finding out more about it, knowing the signs to look out for but also away from the charity I have had people in their 50s and 60s say they have been inspired by the story."
