Representatives from Voluntary Action Epping Forest (VAEF) and 20 other local Voluntary and Community Sector organisations (VCS) from Harlow and Epping Forest met at a networking event on February 1st to highlight potential future working partnerships between the groups.
The event was structured as a speed networking session which gave participants the chance to engage with other groups attending and effectively showcase their services.
Voluntary Action Epping Forest, Rainbow Services (Harlow) and St Clare Hospice joined forces to unite voluntary and community groups operating on both sides of the Epping Forest and Harlow border.
Jacqui Foile, chief officer at VAEF said, "This was a really positive and enjoyable event which opened up potential opportunities for future partnerships between VCS groups in Epping Forest and Harlow.
"It was lovely to see groups engaging with each other in this way and using the facilities of St Clare Hospice’s dining room. I really hope this will be the first of many such events”.
