Did you know that there was an anti-aircraft gun emplacement on Pole Hill in Chingford during World War One (1914-18)?
The crew, who had temporary accommodation in wooden huts, brought shells up to the gun from the end of Mornington Road.
Parts of the concrete emplacement can still be seen today.
