A knife-wielding gang aimed a gun at a group of friends during an attempted burglary.
The Metropolitan Police was called at 9.30pm on Friday (April 5) to a home in Silver Birch Avenue, Chingford, to reports of an aggravated burglary.
A group of friends were stood outside the address when a blue Nissan car sped towards them and parked, police said.

The gang, wearing gloves, masks and hoods, ran inside the home brandishing knives and one appeared to have a gun which was aimed at the group.
A member of the gang, which numbered eight to ten people, checked the rooms for valuables before leaving.
Nothing was believed to have been taken, a Met Police spokesperson said.
Anyone witnessed the incident, or who might have captured doorbell or dash cam footage, has been asked to call 101 or post @MetCC ref 01/183028/24.
