The Odeon Cinema was opened in 1935 in South Chingford.
The Cinema, noted for its art deco lines and dominated by a tower was said to be the best example, other than the 'Odeon' Leicester Square, of Andrew Mather's rather brash approach to Odeon design.
It closed in 1972 to be replaced with a supermarket.
