The house and dovecote at Pimp Hall Farm, Chingford, seen here in the 1880s, originally dates back to the Tudor period of the 1500s.
However, by 1934 it had become derelict and was subsequently purchased by the council for use by the parks department.
The property was later demolished except for the Grade II timber-framed dovecote which remains as a visitor attraction.
