A man from Leyton has been charged with terrorism offences after he was arrested as part of a counter-terrorism investigation. 

Robert Adamski, 28, is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court today (July 18).

On July 17, the 28-year-old was charged with: 

  • Two counts of possession of a component part of a firearm
  • Two counts of dissemination of terrorist publications
  • Possession of documents likely to be useful to a person committing, or preparing, an act of terrorism. 

It comes after he was arrested on July 11 on suspicion of an offence contrary to the Terrorism Act 2000.

A woman was also arrested on July 11 on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

She has been released on bail, pending further enquiries.

Officers have confirmed they do not believe there is any threat to the public.
