A family-friendly pub that has donated money to a top cancer charity has topped our readers' poll.
The Railway Bell in George Lane in South Woodford, which reportedly raised more than £5000 to Macmillan Cancer Support last year, has been voted 'Your Favourite Pub' award for 2024.
Managers Ross Sutton, who has 10 years experience in the pub trade, and Michele Cartmel, who has 30, expressed their delight at winning the prize.
General manager Ross thanked patrons and credited them for The Railway Bell's success.
"We are a pub but we are also a family," Ross said. "We treat all our customers new and old as if they are a part of that, to ensure they feel that The Railway Bell is a home away from home."

The South Woodford pub holds regular tribute, karaoke and DJ nights, and includes 1980s and 90s music.
It is also known as a prime sport spot and has three screens in its beer garden, as well as six inside.
Ross said the pub does "a lot" for charities, primarily Macmillan.
"Last year we raised more than £5,000," he said. "This year our aim is £6,000."
Food is another area The Railway Bell has received acclaim for.
The pub offers a seniors menu of two or three courses and a small plates menu for customers keen to share.
On reviewing website TripAdvisor, the pub has garnered many positive reviews.

"The atmosphere is is incredible. The pub has been full, the staff just work so hard serving us all and it's just non-stop for them - keep it up guys."
It is dog-friendly and open from 11am until 11pm Monday to Thursday, and until midnight Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday it shuts slightly earlier at 10.30pm.
For football fans keen to catch the first Premier League fixture on August 17 this year, The Railway Bell has Sky and TNT sports.
Ross was confident in his pub's status as a "great family-friendly pub" after scooping our 2024 award.
