It's official, the best Asian restaurants and takeaways in central London have been named as part of the shortlists from the annual Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards (ARTA).

The awards celebrate Pan Asian cuisine in the UK and the final awards will take place on Sunday 6 th October at London’s Royal Lancaster.

The ARTA will be hosted by journalist Samantha Simmonds and magician Paul Martin with awards recognising the UK’s best Asian cuisine across a series of prestigious regional and national categories.

Nominees for the ARTA are chosen based on nominations by customers from across the UK, including over 900,000 customers of ARTA’s strategic partner ChefOnline, Social Media and Food Hygiene Ratings, followed by a final judgement of an esteemed judging panel to crown each region’s Asian excellence.

The awards conclude at a Grand Finale and Gala Evening, where the winners will be announced and honoured with prestigious awards in various categories.

Awards at ARTA include the National Champion of the Champions, Regional Restaurant of the Year,  National and Regional Chefs of the Year National and Regional Takeaway of the Year and National Newcomer of The Year.

As part of the awards, the nominations for Restaurant of the Year in central London have been named.

Colonel Saab in High Holborn shares that they offer "an exquisite Indian fine dining experience that captures the essence of both heritage and innovation."

With menus including A La Carte and a tasting menu, you can enjoy food items like Chilli Mogo, Tandoori Broccoli, Chicken Chettinad and more.

Roka in Mayfair is famed for offering a relaxed "yet elegant dining destination" serving a "unique style of contemporary Japanese robatayaki cuisine".

On the online review site Tripadvisor, one fan of Roka said: "Roka is a wonderful place. The food quality and its presentation are on the highest level.
