Police have charged a man from Leytonstone after a man was critically injured at Notting Hill Carnival.
Omar Wilson, 31, of Napier Road, was charged on August 29 with causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He has been remanded to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court today (August 30).
He was previously arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
It comes after officers from the Metropolitan Police acting as part of a policing operation for Notting Hill Carnival on August 26 discovered a man unconscious with a head injury in Queensway.
The man was later identified as 41-year-old Mussie Imnetu who was visiting the UK from Dubai.
He remains in a critical condition in a west London hospital.

Police are continuing their appeal for information about the incident and Mussie's earlier movements.
