The photograph is of Teverson’s butchers’ shop on Kings Green, Loughton, taken on a snowy day in 1887.
Established in the 1850s, the shop later became Salter’s.
Originally designed by local architect Edmond Egan, the building was demolished in 1971 and became the employment exchange/job centre.
