SS Peter and Paul Church on Chingford Green seen here c1910, was built in 1844.
Before the church was built, the large area of parish wasteland was grazed by sheep and owned by the manor.
It became a natural centre to the village as all routes to and from local hamlets converged three.
Today, it is a traffic hotspot.
