The black and white photograph is of Epping Town in the early 1960s and features St John’s Church.
It was built in 1889 on a different alignment to the chapel that went before it. The tower was completed in 1909.
Despite some fine old buildings being lost over the years, the scene remains relatively unchanged except for the new road layouts.
