A car was on fire after three vehicles crashed, blocking the A406 North Circular.
There have been long delays on the busy road westbound at Chingford Road, by the Crooked Billet Interchange, after a car was on fire today (November 4).
Emergency services were called at 3pm to a car alight at the Crooked Billet Roundabout in Walthamstow.
Three vehicles had crashed into each other, with one alight, the London Fire Brigade said.
Ambulances, including an air ambulance were called to the scene.
At this point it is unclear if there were any injuries.
Along with the traffic in the Walthamstow area, there is also congestion to the M11, stretching down to Edmonton.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.59pm today (Monday 4 November) to reports of a road traffic collision at the junction Chingford Road and Billet Road, Chingford.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an incident response officer and London’s Air Ambulance.
“The first of our crews arrived at the scene in three minutes.
“The incident is ongoing and our crews are currently at the scene, assisting our emergency services partners.”
The Metropolitan Police was contacted for comment.
