The Grade II listed North Chingford War Memorial, seen here c1925, was erected in 1921 to honour the 242 who had fallen in World War One.
Following the Second World War, an inscription was added devoted to the casualties of World War Two, and a modern plaque has been put on commemorating the victims of conflict up to the present day.
