Five cars and a lorry crashed on the M11, blocking traffic near to London Stansted Airport.
Police were called to a crash on the M11 near junction 9 at 4.35pm today (November 21), which involved six vehicles.
The road was blocked southbound between junction 9 and junction 8 next to the airport.
At the time of reporting, one lane of two remains closed, with seven miles of congestion and delays of 45 minutes.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a collision on the M11 near Junction 9 at 4.35pm today (Thursday 21 November).
“Five cars and a lorry were involved. The incident is ongoing.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.
“Please quote incident 756 of 21 November.”
