Fear can be a powerful emotion.
It can affect people in so many different ways. And the compulsion to avoid death is surely stronger than any other compulsion we humans feel. So it’s only natural to be scared of something potentially deadly… a knife, for instance.
Knife crime is something we all have to deal with. It’s becoming more and more common on London’s streets and as a result, people are feeling less and less safe.
Young people in particular begin to carry knives so that they can feel safe, and it becomes a vicious circle. Statistics show just how much worse the situation becomes if you carry your own knife, stating that you are more likely to be stabbed if you are carrying a knife.
The answer here is simple; don’t carry knives.
