A FORMER Woolworths store has been bought by frozen foods store, Iceland.
The shop in Lea Bridge Road, Leyton, is one of 10 former Woolworths in London to be taken over by the high street company.
Fifty-one former Woolworth stores nationwide will re-open as Iceland supermarkets, creating thousands of jobs.
The news comes days after the last of the 200 UK Woolworths shops closed for the last time, including in Walthamstow, Leytonstone and Leyton.
