A MAN from Walthamstow will be sentenced on Monday for his part in a gang rape of a girl who was also doused with caustic soda.

The 16-year-old victim, who cannot be named for legal reasons, suffered "life-changing burns" as a result of the attack, in Antill Road, Tottenham last year.

Three men have been found guilty of raping the teenager.

Hector Muaimba, 20, of Guildford Road, Walthamstow, and Jason Brew, 19, of High Cross Road, Tottenham will be sentenced for one count of rape, while Rogel McMorris, of Antill Road, Tottenham, will be sentenced for two counts of rape and cauisng grievous bodily harm.

Wood Green Crown Court had previously heard the victim, who has learning difficulties, had agreed to have sex with a man she knew and arranged to meet him.

But instead, she was met by McMorris, who told her to come back to his house.

The teenager was then taken to an unoccupied house and raped by a gang of of about 10 men repeatedly for two hours.

They then threw caustic soda over her, before running away laughing.

The screaming teenager was found naked with her skin starting to fall off.

A statement from the girl's family said: "No conviction can compensate for what our daughter went through, but we truly appreciate the conviction of three of these men.

"Our sincere gratitude goes to all the police officers and organisations involved although no amount of words can express our gratitutude."

The rapists will be sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court.

The minimum sentence for rape is five years in prison.
