There's a wonderful art space in Waltham Forest. If you're in Leytonstone, it's staring you in the face. I bet you didn't even know it exists!

I'm talking about the windows of the Library and One Stop Shop on Church Lane. Every few months the artwork in the window rotates; sometimes it's by artists from groups such as Mencap, sometimes by others in the community. And right now, that space is occupied by me! Or by my work, if I'm being pedantic.

East London and West Essex Guardian Series: flash

The space is pretty big - nearly 7 metres wide - so you can exhibit pretty much anything there. However, although from the outside it looks like one window, from the inside it's the individual windows of four separate tiny offices, which makes it much harder to make sure your work is lined up!

The best news is that you can exhibit your work for free. It's an excellent opportunity for the local community to have this space available... So if you fancy getting your work on show, contact the organiser Anna Alcock (anna.alcock@ukonline.co.uk) to find out more.

My exhibition is of electricity pylons, demonstrating different ways to look at and think about them. It runs until March 6, and I hope it will give passers by a new outlook or at least a talking point. If you can't make it to Leytonstone you can also view my photos online at http://www.pylons.org/exhibition I accept that some of you readers may not get where I'm coming from with an exhibition of pylon parts and perspectives. But I hope that everyone will understand (and be electrified by) the prospect of this fantastic arts space in our borough.
