POLICE are still piecing together evidence in the aftermath of a mass brawl that has seen three people arrested for attempted murder.
More than 600 revellers at the Loughton Football Academy’s new year’s eve party had to be split up by police after a mass brawl broke out which saw one bouncer repeatedly stabbed and another man shot.
The 47-year-old doorman, from Orpington, in Kent, has lost the sight in one eye and has now been discharged from Royal London Hospital.
The 42-year-old man from Finchley who was shot in the hand was treated at Broomfield Hospital, in Chelmsford, and has now discharged himself.
A 31-year-old man, from Shenfield, 19-year-old, from Ilford, and 22-year-old, from Chigwell, have all been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and released on police bail until February 16.
A 19-year-old man from Harlow is due to appear at Harlow Magistrates Court on February 2 charged with one count of assaulting a police officer and one count of threatening behaviour during the brawl.
Investigating officer DS Steve Ellis said: “We’ve taken many statements from victims and witnesses and realised there were many more people who saw what happened particularly those who live in the Epping Forest District and surrounding London boroughs.”
Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call Harlow Police Station on 01279 621803.
