A TEENAGER has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a woman outside a Walthamstow nightclub.
Police arrested a 19-year-old man in Waltham Forest on suspicion of robbery and serious assault on Sunday evening.
A 26-year-old woman was stabbed in Falmer Road at about 4.20am on Saturday. She was carried back to the Cavern Bar in Forest Road, where she had been drinking, by a passerby.
It is believed she been to The Bell public house in Forest Road.
She was taken to hospital suffering from stab wounds and she is now in a stable condition.
A Waltham Forest police spokesman said: "An open mind is being kept as regards the motive and enquires into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing.
"Detectives are appealing for anyone that may have been in and around the Cavern Bar/Falmer Road area at the time of the incident to contact them and assist with their enquires."
Detectives from Waltham Forest CID are investigating.
Police are not revealing the extent of the woman's injuries.
