A TEENAGER has been charged in connection with the stabbing of a woman near a Walthamstow nightclub.
James Jemal Bennett, unemployed, 19, of Woodstock Road, Walthamstow, has been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) and robbery.
He is appearing at Waltham Forest Magistrates' Court today (Tuesday) at around 10am.
A 26-year-old woman was stabbed in Falmer Road, Walthamstow, at around 4.20am on Saturday. She was carried back to the Cavern Bar in Forest Road, where she had been previously drinking, by a passerby.
It is believed she had been drinking in The Bell public house in Forest Road before she went to the Cavern Bar.
She was taken to hospital suffering from stab wounds and she is now in a stable condition.
