MORE contenders in the upcoming Wanstead by-election have been announced following the death of Cllr Allan Burgess last month.
While Redbridge Council is yet to announce a date for the vote, the Labour Party and Liberal Democrats have now joined the Green Party in declaring their candidates.
The election is expected to be held in April.
The candidates announced so far are:
Labour Party Ross Hatfull
Liberal Democrats Kate Garrett
Green Party Ashley Gunstock
The Conservative Party are expected to choose their nominee for the post this week.
At the last Wanstead ward contest, part of the local Government elections in 2006, the Greens, Labour, the Lib Dems and the Conservatives all stood.
The Tories won all three seats, with a turnout of 44.9 per cent.
Labour's candidates were the runners-up.
