A 12-YEAR-old girl who was accused of racially abusing a Turkish woman has been told she has no case to answer.

The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was alleged to have called Dondu Karagozou, 28, who suffers from MS, a f*****g Turkish b***h while she was in a car, waiting at traffic lights in Grove Road, Walthamstow, on October 21 last year.

Speaking about the girl's alleged racist tirade, mother-of-three Ms Karagozou, of Bude Close, Walthamstow, said: "She was about three feet away from the car when she started swearing at me.

"I was utterly distressed. I was crying. It is something that will stay with me for the rest of my life."

But Jack Holmstock, chairman of the bench, said the girl would not be prosecuted.

He stated that he did not believe Ms Karagozou could have thought the girl's words meant she would attack her as defined under section 28 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

He said: "From our point of view, a girl as young as 12 is at an incredibly young age to appear in a court, whether you swore at this woman or not.

"I urge you to watch what you do and say so that you don't return to this court."
