A TERMINALLY ill girl from Epping had her birthday wish granted when a local charity hosted a traditional birthday party for her, complete with party games, pink balloons and life size Bratz dolls.
Bailey Keown, whose dream was to have a Bratz themed party, was thrilled when two life sized dolls arrived to help her celebrate her 7th birthday.
More than 25 of Bailey’s friends attended The Quaker Meeting Hall in Epping on 24th February to mark the special occasion.
The guests played much loved party games such as pass the parcel and enjoyed ice cream and jelly.
The hall was decked out with pink balloons, and two teenagers who volunteer with the charity, dressed up as the famous dolls to make Bailey’s wish come true.
Bailey’s mother, Jenty Keown sais: ‘‘She had a brilliant time. She was so excited and loved the party.’’ The Dream Factory was established to allow terminally ill children, such as Bailey, who suffers from Beckwith - Weidermann Syndrome, the opportunity to realise their dreams.
Avril Mill, founder of The Dream Factory Foundation, said: ‘‘Bailey had a lovely time and it was nice to be able to grant her wish as she is a little girl who has gone through a lot in her life.’’ Founder, Avril Mills will be hosting a range of fundraising events throughout the year to ensure more children are granted their wishes.
These events include a themed ball in June at the Mega Marquee which is open to the public and will include a lavish three course meal and a show band. She is also trekking into Jordan in September in a bid to raise funds.
