TERMINALLY-ILL TV star Jade Goody was christened at the Royal Marsden Hospital in West London last weekend by a local reverend.

The Rev. Corinne Brixton, from St John’s Church In High Road, Buckhurst Hill said she felt “immensely privileged” to take part in the ceremony on Saturday March 7.

Miss Goody, from Upshire, was christened alongside sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four, during a "very short and emotional service", according to her publicist Max Clifford.

He added that the 27-year old who shot to fame in Big Brother back in 2002 was "very pale and fragile" during the 20-minute ceremony.

Miss Goody, was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer last August and doctors have told the mum of two that she only has weeks to live.

Rev. Brixton, the Vicar of St John’s Church in Buckhurst Hill said the family of Miss Goody’s husband, Jack Tweed, had asked her to conduct the ceremony.

She said that being in the media spotlight was strange.

She said: “I haven’t had anyone parking outside my home yet- thank goodness.

“Celebrity is something that you never look for and never really expect but at the end of the day, its an immense privilege that you are able to help in such a small way in a situation that is so tragic.”
