WALTHAM Forest campaigners have lobbied MPs about the situation in Gaza.
A number of local councillors and residents from across the borough lobbied Walthamstow MP Neil Gerrard and Leyton MP Harry Cohen at Westminster in an event organised by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC).
PSC believes the Israeli economic blockade of Gaza is unjust, unlawful and is preventing aid from getting to the people. It is calling for the British government to take a stand against it.
The Israeli government has said the continual rocket attacks aimed at its towns from Gaza cannot be ignored - and sanctions are necessary to prevent them.
On December 27 last year Israel launched a controversial military campaign into the Gaza strip which lasted slightly more than three weeks.
The campaign, which divided opinion, followed a six-month truce between Hamas and Israel.
