REDBRIDGE Council has confirmed the upcoming Wanstead by-election will be held on Thursday April 23 between 7am and 10pm.
Anyone who wishes to stand must submit their nomination papers by 12 noon on Wednesday March 25 to the Deputy Returning Officer at Queen Victoria House, 794 Cranbrook Road, Ilford.
The last day for residents to be included in the electorial register for voting is Monday April 6.
The by-election comes after the death of Conservative councillor Allan Burgess, who held the seat for nearly two decades.
The British National Party, the Green Party, the Labour Party, The Liberal Democrats and the Conservatives are all fielding candidates.
