A MAN who suffered multiple knife wounds during a fight in a park is no longer in a critical condition.

The victim, in his early twenties, was taken by air ambulance to hospital after being stabbed in Brettenham Road, near Lloyd park, Walthamstow, at 4pm on Wednesday.

It was soon established that his injuries were not life threatening.

A man was seen runnning from the scene before the poice arrived.

It is believed the victim is unwilling to cooperate with the police inquiry into the incident.

No arrests have been made.

The attack comes less then a week after Wahab Zaaki, of Old Church Road, Chingford, was stabbed to death in Prospect Hill, Walthamstow.
