GUARDIAN photographers have captured plenty of signs in Waltham Forest that spring has finally sprung.
At Coppermill Reservoir, Walthamstow, geese are flying back home, and trees are covered with blossom in Leytonstone as the weather finally begins to turn warmer.
Daffodils are springing forth outside All Saints Church in Chingford Mount as the borough bids farewell to a turbulent winter and the long-term weather forecast suggests typical spring sunshine and showers ahead.
And Waltham Forest’s iconic town hall was awash with colour as floral displays in the grounds began to emerge for the first time this year.
Youngsters in the borough can also look forward to a full calendar of sporting events this spring, run by the Leyton Orient Community Sports Partnership (LOCSP).
During the Easter holidays, children aged five to 14 will be able to attend sessions at the Score Centre, Leyton and the Goals Soccer Centre, Chingford, with training from fully-qualified coaches and special appearances from Leyton Orient players.
From April 6, LOCSP will be offering training in a variety of sports including football, basketball and handball.
