A DISNEY themed play on the subject of friendship was staged by the youngsters of Oaklands School to an appreciative audience of parents.
The ultimate fairytale saw characters such as Snow White and Sleeping Beauty meet up and became friends in the play, Friends Reunited, which was put on by pupils from year three and four at the school on Albion Hill in Loughton.
Having practiced for six weeks, the children danced and sang in the musical adaption which was re-written by their teacher Hayley Poulton.
Headteacher Pam Simmons said: "They thoroughly enjoyed taking part. A song was taken from the original play and re-written especially for the children and included a variety of fairy tale characters. It was very good and right for their age group. Their parents came to watch and everyone enjoyed themselves."
