A 79-year old woman was rescued from a blazing flat in Buckhurst Hill in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, April 21).
Two fire crews from Loughton were called to a smoke-filled ground floor flat in Albert Road shortly before 2am.
Paramedics treated a 79-year old woman who was suffering from smoke inhalation, before taking her to Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow.
Fire Crews wore breathing apparartus and used a thermal image camera and one hose reel to extinguish the fire.
The property was ventilated using a specialist fan and the fire was extinguished by 2:10am.
