A TEENAGER was stabbed in broad daylight in what police have called an unprovoked attack.
Police and ambulance crews were called to Leytonstone High Road on April 20 after the victim was found with stab wounds to his leg.
The boy, 17, was then taken to an east London hospital and has since been discharged.
He had been walking with two friends along the High Road at about 3pm when he became involved in a conversation with a group of seven boys.
He and his friends then boarded a bus but were followed by the group, who began hitting the victim before stabbing him. The suspects then fled the scene.
They are all young men aged between 17 and 20.
Investigating officer Trainee Detective Constable Stevens said: "This was an unprovoked attack and I would appeal to anyone who has information to contact me as soon as possible."
Anyone with information is urged to call 8345 3276 or to remain anonymous, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
