A GREYHOUND re-homing centre celebrated the opening of it's new kennels, with a 'celebrity' dog in their presence.
Snooker champion Ronnie O'Sullivan's former dog is one of 80 at the centre looking to find a home.
Go Ronnie Rocket used to race at Walthamstow, but when the stadium closed, he and hundreds of other dogs needed to find a new home.
The kennels in Waltham Abbey have so far found homes for 1,200 of the greyhounds, but they need to find 80 more loving families for their remaining dogs, and time is running out.
Chairman of the Walthamstow Owners and Welfare Association Barrie Clegg said: "Our funding is getting short and we really must try to home the last 80 within the next few months and that's the truth. We have enough to last for about five or six months so we need to re-home these dogs in that time."
If you are interested in re-homing a greyhound or sponsoring Ryan call the centre on 01992 890 540.
