HE'S the apprentice who said ‘you’re fired’ to Sir Alan Sugar.
Chigwell entrepreneur Adam Freeman, who runs the loans website www.mrlender.com, dropped out of the hit TV show hours before it started, avoiding the media circus that was about to engulf his fellow contestants.
Each week, Adam will give his verdict on how he thinks each of the candidates have performed.
THE BOYS
JAMES MCQUILLAN: He created a good jingle for the Pirate Parrot advert and seemed to enjoy the task and learning new skills, telling everyone: “I feel like a monkey learning to use tools."
HOWARD EBISON: He was mediator once again, but this time between Philip and Lorraine after they fell out. He didn’t get too involved in the task.
BEN CLARKE: By dressing up as Captain Squirk at least we didn’t have to look at him as much this week. He started the ball rolling with a Pirate Theme idea - so must give him some credit there.
NOORUL CHOUDHURY: Why didn’t Kimberly take ‘Noor-Who’ into the boardroom as it would have saved her from getting fired? Once again, he just did nothing in the task and not only did we not hear from him this week, Kimberley banished him to the garage - so we didn’t get to see him either!
PHILLIP TAYLOR: Each week his stubbornness and aggression seems to increase along with his ego. The 'pants' idea was juvenile and pathetic. Surely the team could have come up with something better? On a few occasions he has lost his temper in front of people who are trying to help him, and not even on his team – very unprofessional behavior. He will need to mature in order to succeed.
THE GIRLS
KATE WALSH: Team leader and showed very good leadership skills. She did well in choosing to go with the Pirate Parrott idea and made quick and good decisions. She also gave good, strong answers back to the advertising agency following Debra’s presentation.
YASMINA SIADATAN: She spent the whole day at the recording studio with James to create the jingle only to have it thrown out after the first few seconds by the team leader, which she didn’t seem too happy about.
DEBRA BARR: She gave a great presentation in front of a lot of people which must have been quite difficult given the short amount of time she had for preparation.
LORRAINE TIGHE: “I think that’s verging on being silly now”, was her response to Phillip's strange ‘dance in your pants’ act, and her smartest comment and contribution to date! The only reason she was not fired is to add some comedy value to next week’s episode when Sir Alan will hopefully make her a team leader. She went against her teammates in the boardroom prior to a team being selected as a winners - which was a bad move and pretty dumb.
MONA LEWIS: She was getting frustrated with her team leader’s body language and remarks to her presentation and so was right to try and pass the presentation across to the team leader, who refused. Her presentation was very patronising and lacked confidence.
KIMBERLY DAVIS: [FIRED] She was team leader and her overall performance on this task was poor, given that this is meant to be her forte. She should have stood up more to her team members instead of just letting them walk all over her. The cereal box had a massive lack of detail and someone from Team Ignite should have been present with the designer during the creation of the product box.
