A MAN arrested in connection with the killing of the half-brother of Tottenham and England striker Jermain Defoe has been released on bail.
Jade Defoe, 26, died on Friday after suffering head injuries in an attack in Walnut Gardens, on the Leytonstone/Stratford border, on Monday.
A 28-year-old man arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice has been bailed pending further inquiries.
He was first arrested on Tuesday but released and then re-arrested on Friday.
The attack took place about 5pm near the junction with Leytonstone Road.
Police do not believe a weapon was used.
