AN elderly couple found dead in their homes died of carbon monoxide poisoning, a post mortem has revealed.
Donald O'Sullivan, 73, and his wife Rosetta, 70, were found collapsed in their home in Matlock Road, Leyton, on Monday last week.
A post mortem examination held on Wednesday last week revealed that the couple had inhaled the lethal, odoourless gas.
A date for an inquest is yet to be set.
Leyton fire station manager, Charlie Brown who attended the scene of their death, has urged householders to fit carbon monoxide detectors in their homes to avoid another tragedy.
