A man has been charged with the murder of Soabia Sayid, who was found strangled to death in her home in Hycliffe Gardens, Chigwell on Monday.
The victim's brother in law, Mohammed Sayid, 49, was charged last night (Tuesday April 28) after the body of Mrs Sayid was found at the home they shared in Chigwell on Monday.
Police were contacted shortly before 11:30am on Monday, April 27 following concerns for the welfare of a woman inside a house on Hycliffe Gardens.
Officers and paramedics arrived at the scene and found the body of Soabia Sayid.
A provisional post-mortem examination result showed that the 29-year-old housewife and mother of two died from asphyxiation by strangulation.
Mohammed Sayid was arrested at the scene and has subsequently been charged with one count of murder.
The 49-year-old unemployed man has been detained in police custody prior to his appearance at Harlow Magistrates Court on Wednesday, April 29.
