A CROP of cannabis plants was found growing in a wardrobe after police searched a property in North Weald.

Mature plants were also found growing in a shed at the address on Lancaster Road after police searched the residential property and seized the plants.

Two unemployed men aged 52 and 24 from North Weald were arrested for suspicion of cultivation of cannabis and stolen goods, and were bailed until June 17.

Sergeant Becky Brown said: "As I promised before, we will always listen to community intelligence and act where necessary.

"This sends out a clear message that drug use will not be tolerated and we will continue to target anyone dealing drugs in the area."
