Damaged roof after the fire
FIREFIGHTERS spent more than two hours battling a house fire yesterday.
Four fire engines and 20 firefighters from Walthamstow and the surrounding area were called to a house fire in Corbett Road, Wood Street, at 5.38pm.
The Brigade got the fire under control by 8.15pm.
Half of the roof was damaged.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
