DEBDEN Sainsbury’s is looking for a local charity to support throughout the year.
The Torrington Drive store is asking members of the public to nominate their favourite local charity which they will then support for a year through fundraising events and collections.
Residents have from May 6 to May 26 to fill in a nomination form at the store and Sainsbury’s will then draw up a short-list of three charities.
These three charities will then be asked to visit the store to set out their case for the support.
Store manager Kurt Tolladay said: “By supporting a local charity we can give something back to the community by helping with fundraising and volunteering.
“Clearly it’s important that we find a charity that is close to the hearts and minds of our customers and colleagues so I would encourage everyone to come into store and vote.”
