AN Ilford businessman has been jailed for five years after being found guilty of dealing cocaine and heroin.
Osman Sohail, 21, was arrested along with Carl Poole-McKenzie, 24, after a golf ball-sized package of drugs was found discarded from their car following a police chase in Plymouth.
Officers also found £8,000 worth of heroin and cocaine split into £20 and £10 wraps in one of two hotel rooms rented by Poole-McKenzie, along with 92 grammes of unpackaged drugs and £400 cash.
A further £2,400 was recovered from the hotel safe.
Sohail claimed he came to Plymouth to sell his silver Skoda Octavia for £3,000 and had no idea his friend was dealing drugs.
He denied the charges but was found guilty after his finger prints were found on a cigarette paper inside one of the wraps of drugs.
Poole-Mekenzie, of Grand Parade, The Hoe, was also jailed for four years after pleading guilty to the same charges of possessing a class A drug with intent to supply.
