MAYPOLE dancers and arts and crafts are just some of the attractions at this year’s Family Fun Day in Lloyd Park.
Organised by the Friends of Lloyd Park, last year was a success and the group promises that this one will be even more impressive.
Maypole dancers and Morris Dancers will provide the entertainment and there will be face-painting and beat the goalie and sumo wrestling games for children.
There will also be arts and crafts stalls and food and beer tents.
Snakey Sue, who recently appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, will be letting visitors handle her non-venomous snakes from her Leyton snake sanctuary.
Chair of Friends of Lloyd Park Adrian Stannard said: “Last year’s family fun day had a great atmosphere. This year should be even better, with even more stalls and entertainment lined up for all the family.”
The event is in on Sunday May 17, from 12pm to 4pm in Aveling Park at the far end of Lloyd Park, next to the Changing Room Gallery.
