A BUDDING entrepreneur from Leyton has won a business idea competition.
Nahom Tweldemedhin, 24, of Leyton Green Road, came up with an idea for a business named A Go Go, which provides an African and Caribbean takeaway food service to Unviersity towns and communities.
Mr Tweldemedhin beat more than 120 people to win the most viable business category in the Flare Entrepreneur awards, organised by the University of Hertfordshire.
Mr Tweldemedhin has a degree in business information systems and entered Flare with his business partners Jide Aiyo and Blanchard Campbell.
The trio received £5,000, a laptop and advice on how to grow a business from consultancy Exemplas.
The Flare award was presented by Ruth Badger, a former contestant on the BBC show The Apprentice.
