A ROTARY club has donated a special adjustable table to a school for disabled children.
Woodford Green Rotary Club, formerly Walthamstow West, donated the table, which can be adjusted to suit the needs of children who use wheelchairs, to Brookfield House School, in Alders Avenue, Woodford Green.
Diane Few, who is the head of the school's secondary department, said: "The table's in the art room - it's wonderful. It can be adapted to each individual child."
The club raised £1,000 to buy the table and has also raised funds for Whitefield School in Walthamstow, which also caters for disabled children, to go on an outing to Barking Park.
Terry Hand, who is the club's community service chairman, said: "We get three coaches together in the summer to take the children to the park - that costs £750."
The club meets on Monday lunchtimes at the County Hotel, Oak Hill, Woodford Green. For more information, contact Terry Hand on 8524 4512
